A fitness professional since 1980, Debi has focused on teaching step aerobics since 1989. She has choreographed fitness through aerobic and step training and starred in numerous videos on step exercise, including BodyWorks Step Right Up, which she also directed fitness through aerobic and step training and produced, as well as Step Right Up, fitness through aerobic and step training and Shape magazine’s Totally Legs fitness through aerobic and step training and Legs, Legs, Legs. Debi has received numerous awards in her field. In 1985 she was recognized both as a Certified Fitness Professional by the Aerobics fitness through aerobic and step training and Fitness Association of America (AFAA) fitness through aerobic and step training and as a Gold Certified Fitness Professional by the American Council on Exercise. In 1990, she received an award of excellence for the video Energy Explosion from the AFAA. In 1993, she was awarded the Certificate of Merit for Fitness Programming by Fitness Management magazine. And, in 1996, she was honored for her educational expertise in Who’s Who in American Education.
